Contact Information

Email is the best way to reach me and I will respond as promptly as possible.  Due to the scheduling in our afternoons it is often difficult for me to check email between 1:00pm and 4:15pm, therefore, if you have important information regarding how your child will get home or where they need to go after school, please contact the school office during that time period.

I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I received a Bachelor's Degree in 1993. I received my Master's Degree from UNO in 1995 as a member of the pilot year of the CADRE Program.

My husband and I have been married for 25 years. We have a son who is a Junior at Burke High School and a daughter who has recently relocated and began her professional career in Tallinn, Estonia. We have three dogs, Gus, Abby and Abbie Dukes.

Spelling activities are assigned on Monday and due Friday and will completed in the classroom. It will only come home as homework if students are unable to complete it in class before the friday due date.

Spelling tests are given on each Friday.

There will be daily math homework that is due the following day.  Any Social Studies, Science or other course work that the students do not complete in class will be taken home and due the next school day. Student agendas are filled out each day. Please check the agendas every night for work that is due.

The National Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) suggests that homework not exceed ten minutes per grade level for students.  Therefore, homework for students in the fourth grade should take about 40 minutes per night. Some nights there may be little or no homework and other nights may require more than the suggested time.
