Email is the best way to reach me and I will respond as promptly as possible.  Due to the scheduling in our afternoons it is often difficult for me to check email between 1:00pm and 4:15pm, therefore, if you have important information regarding how your child will get home or where they need to go after school, please contact the school office during that time period.

Welcome to Mrs. Maloy’s
Fourth Grade Class

Room #006

I have been involved in the Omaha Public Schools for over 20 years as a substitute teacher, parent, PTA Member/President and classroom teacher.  I have taught second grade and fourth grade at Saddlebrook Elementary School.  I previously taught sixth grade at Rosehill Elementary School.

I was born and raised in Nebraska City.  I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and the University of Nebraska at Omaha where I received a Bachelor Degree in 1993.  I received my Master Degree in 1995 as a member of the pilot year of the CADRE Program.

My husband and I have been married for 24 years.  We have a son who is a Sophomore at Omaha North High School and a daughter who is a Sophomore in college studying abroad this year at the University of Tartu in Tartu, Estonia. We have three dogs, Gus, Abby and Abbie Dukes.

Spelling activities are assigned on Monday and due Friday and will completed in the classroom.

Spelling WORD AND dictation tests are on Friday.

There will be daily math homework that is due the following day.  Any Social Studies, Science or other course work that the students do not complete in class will be taken home and due the next school day. Student agendas are filled out each day. Please check the agendas every night for work that is due.

The National Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) suggests that homework not exceed ten minutes per grade level for students.  Therefore, homework for students in the fourth grade should take about 40 minutes per night. Some nights there may be little or no homework and other nights may require more than the suggested time.
